While combing a small beach for treasure, a team of thrill-seeking luminaries crosses paths with a young girl, a suspicious beach volleyball militia, and a sandy hole filled with monster eggs! When the militia flees the scene with the little girl as their charge, the luminaries pursue them out to an offshore barge where they discover her Muppet father is tangled up in a bizarre cross-dimensional experiment. The result is a kitschy, melodramatic, and irreverent struggle between the retro-science fiction archetypes culminating in a musical extravaganza.
